High Desert Art League Reception and Exhibit
For the month of March Wild River Gallery hosted an exhibit of work by the members of the High Desert Art League. This diverse group of accomplished Oregon Artists presented work in Oil, Photography, Watercolor and Print Media.
'I am so excited I can barely breathe! The CM Russell Auction has accepted my "Burnin' Daylight" painting. The Russell Auction is the biggest show I've ever gotten into, and I will be in good company with Bill Anton, Tim Cox, and many other big-name western artists. It is held mid-March 2010 and Ken and I are planning to attend.' (Faye Taylor)

May was Barbara Slater's turn to take center stage at Wild River Gallery.
Barbara's vivid portayals of landscapes and animals is captivating. Barbara uses color and light to bring her subjects to life and her use of composition engages the veiwer, brining the subject out of the canvas and into the room.

Tyler Saunders: Wildlife Artist, Reception and Exhibit
The work of local artist Tyler Saunders was our feature for the month of April ending in an artist reception on the 24th.
We had a great turn-out for this exciting local artist and we are please to represent Tyler's work here at Wild River Gallery.
Barbara Slater: Art Exhibit
As a high school student Faye Taylor toured the advertising department of a Southern California department store and decided to become a fashion illustrator. After years of studying under Clayton Rippy and Chalita Robinson, she returned to that very store, showed them her portfolio and was awarded a position on the spot.
Now, 27 years later, Faye Taylor is an award-winning, nationally-known artist working from her studio/gallery

This important event will be judged by esteemed artist Richard McKinley

Exhibit dates September 3-26
in Prineville, Oregon.
Taylor's Work has been in many galleries, including a piece on permanent display in the John Lide
Hart Museum in South Carolina. Several of her pieces have been included in shows at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, as well as the National Arts Foundation in Chicago. Most recently one of her works was shown and purchased at the CM Russell auction in Great Falls Montana.
